This shorter and more relaxed Himalayan adventure combines the culture and energy of Kathmandu, time to unwind in beautiful Pokhara, and a gentle trek through the foothills of the Annapurna region.
Begin with 1 day in Kathmandu, exploring the city’s historic temples, colourful streets and UNESCO World Heritage sites before flying west to Pokhara. The short Kathmandu–Pokhara internal flight (included) is an experience in itself, with spectacular aerial views of the Himalayan foothills and, on a clear day, some of Nepal’s highest peaks. Enjoy the same stunning flight back to Kathmandu at the end of the journey.
Spend 1 day in Pokhara, Nepal’s lakeside adventure capital, with time to relax beside Phewa Lake, explore the town, enjoy mountain views and soak up the laid-back atmosphere.
The trek then takes you through peaceful mountain landscapes, forests, terraced hillsides and traditional villages. The route includes Australia Camp, renowned for its panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre, and Lwang, a welcoming Gurung village surrounded by lush hills and tea gardens.
With shorter walking days and lower altitudes, this itinerary is ideal for travellers who want to experience the beauty of the Himalayas without the greater physical demands of a longer or higher-altitude trek.
Return to Kathmandu for a final night or two, providing time to relax, shop and enjoy a final taste of Nepal before your journey home.
A beautiful introduction to Nepal — combining Kathmandu’s culture, Pokhara’s lakeside charm, a spectacular mountain flight and an easy-paced trek through stunning Himalayan landscapes and traditional villages.
